On the 15th of November a joint venture agreement has been signed by GreenGo Srl and Engie Italia for the development of a wind farm in Sicily.
The wind farm project, to be located near Palermo, consists of five state-of-the-art wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 30 MW.
The JV subscribed by Engie Italia, leading player in the energy and utilities industry, involves the take over of 70% of the GreenGo’s SPV and the acquisition of the remaining shares after obtaining the following authorisation.
Giuseppe Mastropieri-CEO of GreenGo- states: “ We are proud of this new JV in partnership with a leading energy player like Engie and this will certainly accelerate GreenGo’s growth as professional Italian developer with a multi tech pipeline of more than 1200 MW”.
Fabio Amico-Director of Origination and Engineering-states: “Our target is launching the permits process for authorisation within 2021 and drive our fifteen projects, part of our portfolio, till ready-to-built status within 2025”.
